Our Stories ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Our Stories collects the following types of information:

• Account Data: We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication. No email, password, or personal identity is required. A unique anonymous ID is assigned to each device.
• User-Generated Content: Text entries (memories), photos, names, and dates you choose to enter into the app. This data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
• Sync Data: If you choose to use the Couple Sync feature, your memories, profile names, avatars, and photos are uploaded to Firebase Cloud Firestore and Firebase Storage, encrypted in transit via HTTPS/TLS.
• Purchase Data: Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit framework. We do not collect or store any payment information.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the app's core functionality (storing memories, counting days, etc.)
• To sync data between partners when Couple Sync is enabled
• To manage your Premium subscription status
• To send local notifications about relationship milestones

3. Data Storage & Security

• Local data is stored on-device using Apple's encrypted SwiftData storage.
• Cloud data (when syncing) is stored on Google Firebase servers with industry-standard security.
• All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
• Images are compressed before upload to minimize storage usage.
• We implement daily upload quotas to prevent abuse.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or rent your personal data to any third parties. Your data is only shared with your connected partner through the Couple Sync feature, which you explicitly opt into.

5. Third-Party Services

• Firebase (Google): Used for anonymous authentication, cloud database, and file storage. Governed by Firebase Privacy Policy.
• Apple StoreKit: Used for subscription management. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

• Local data can be deleted by removing the app from your device.
• Cloud data can be removed by using the "Disconnect" feature in Settings, which stops syncing. To request complete deletion of cloud data, contact us at dangvanhai13091989@gmail.com.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Stories is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

By downloading and using Our Stories, you agree to the following terms.

1. Use of the App

Our Stories is a personal diary and memory-keeping application designed for couples. You must be at least 13 years old to use this app. You are responsible for all content you create within the app.

2. User Content

• You retain ownership of all content (text, photos) you create in the app.
• You grant us a limited license to store and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Couple Sync feature.
• You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

3. Premium Subscriptions

• Our Stories offers auto-renewable subscriptions: Monthly ($2.99/month) and Yearly ($32.99/year).
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when purchasing a subscription.

4. Couple Sync Feature

• The Couple Sync feature allows two users to share their timeline data.
• By creating or joining a couple space, you consent to sharing your memories and profile data with your connected partner.
• You can disconnect at any time from Settings. Disconnecting stops future syncing but does not delete already-synced data from your partner's device.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any illegal purpose
• Upload content that is harmful, offensive, or violates others' rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or interfere with the app's functionality
• Use automated systems to access the service

6. Limitation of Liability

Our Stories is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for any data loss, service interruption, or damages arising from the use of the app. We recommend regularly backing up your important data.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the app if we determine that you have violated these terms or engaged in abusive behavior.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
